Ministry update!

Praise God for a great Sunday! Our Gypsy work is going great with the kids. For the last 5 weeks we have averaged about 85 kids. It has been such a joy to work with these children and show them the love of Christ. So many of these children just need someone to love them.

It is turning cold, so pray for this work. As you will see in the pictures below there are no doors or windows in the building we are meeting in. That hasn't been a problem for now, but winter is coming and it can get cold in Croatia.

We also had Harvest Sunday in our church in Cakovec. God blessed with a full house and we had many visitors. Bro. Rich preached a great message about God's harvest. There was food and fellowship following the service which is what all good Baptist know how to do.

By the end of the day our team was pretty exhausted. But no one was complaining for everything that was done was done for our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ!

My Daddy's the Pilot!

Some one sent this to  me and it was a blessing! I pray it will be for you too!
A pastor had been on a long flight between church conferences..  The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on:  Fasten Your Seat Belts.

Then, after a while, a calm voice said, "We shall not be serving the beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence. Please be sure your seat belt is fastened."

As the pastor looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive.
Later, the voice on the intercom said, "We are so sorry that we are unable to serve the meal at this time.  The turbulence is still ahead of us."
And then the storm broke . . .

The ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines.  Lightning lit up the dar kening skies, and within moments that great plane was like a cork tossed around on a celestial ocean.  One moment the airplane was lifted on terrific currents of air; the next, it dropped as if it were about to crash.

The pastor confessed that he shared the discomfort and fear of those around him.  He said, "As I looked around the plane, I could see that nearly all the passengers were upset and alarmed. Some were praying.  The future seemed ominous and many were wondering if they would make it through the storm.

"Then, I suddenly saw a little girl.  Apparently the storm meant nothing to her..  She had tucked her feet beneath her as she sat on her seat; she was reading a book and everything within her small world was calm and orderly.

"Sometimes she closed her eyes, then she would read again; then she would straighten her legs, but worry and fear were not in her world.
When the plane was being buffeted by the terrible storm when it lurched this way and that, as it rose and fell with frightening severity, when all the adults were scared half to death, that marvelous child was completely composed and unafraid."  The minister could hardly believe his eyes.

It was not surprising therefore, that when the plane finally reached its destination and all the passengers were hurrying to disembark, our pastor lingered to speak to the girl whom he had watched for such a long time.
Having commented about the storm and the behavior of the plane, he asked why she had not been afraid.

The child replied, "Cause my Daddy's the pilot, and he's taking me home."

God answers prayer!

A few weeks ago we had one of the biggest problems with our bus ministry that we've ever had. Bro. Sam and I took two vans out to a village called Trnovec. When we got there we saw a mob of children running toward the vans. There had to have been about 70 kids there, and we only had places for 18. We packed what we could in the vans, and we're heartbroken because of all the kids left behind. We began to pray fervently for God to do something about this need. I told the people to pray that God would give us a place close to the village or better still in the village. We were willing to rent something, though we had no idea how we could afford another building.

That week one of our men said he had a cousin in the village who had a building and would probably rent it to us. We set up a time to meet, and were surprised when we learned that this man was saved several years ago. He said we could use his place and the rent would be nothing. He wanted to help spread God's Word to his people.

Last Sunday we had our very first meeting there, and God really blessed. I was told there were over 100 that showed up. We had a program for the kids and I preached about Jesus! We took many pictures and they are here for you to enjoy!

Next to me you will see Bro. Dean. He came and translated me into Gypsy. I preached in Croatia and he put it all in Gypsy.

No I'm not trying to lay hands on anyone. I'm praying and trying to get the kids quite at the same time.

Bibles have arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Praise the Lord, our Bibles have finally arrived! A few days ago we were able to go and pick up 4,500 New Testaments from Zagreb, Croatia.

We have been able to pass them out to our people and many of the bus kids who come. Everyone received a Bible on Sunday! It was a joy using it on Sunday knowing that all had the same Bible as I did. For the new converts in Church we were able to even say, turn to page so and so and they could find the text and read a long with us.

I want to say thank you to all who have given to this project, and ask you all to pray as we continue onward with the Old Testament!

Špancirfest - update!

The festival is still going on and we have been there most every night. So far we have passed out about 12,000 tracts. We have got to talk to several people about the Lord and our presence has been made known there. Every night we come home tired, but it's a good tired. The kind where you know you have stood up for Jesus in the midst of darkness.

The festival will continue through the weekend and we will continue to stand in between heaven and hell for these precious souls!

Špancirfest!

Every year in the city of Varaždin they hold what they call Špancirfest. This is a big festival and they estimate that in 10 days there will be over 250,000 people walk through the streets of our city. There are booths and food vendors set up all along the city streets. There are concerts and shows for the people who attend. It is a very festive time for all who come to Špancierfest.

For us it's much, much more than just a festival. It is an opportunity to pass out 1,000's of tracts. It opened Friday night and we were able to pass out 2,000 tracts. Then we were there Saturday morning and passed out another 2,700 tracts. Then once again Saturday night we were able to pass out 2,200 tracts. We are going to try and be there each evening to stand in between heaven and hell for these people.

Please be in prayer for us as we try and keep some of these people from the fires of hell!!!!!!!!
